這次要為各位介紹的是一位出身於法國的音樂鬼才 - Manu Chao (瑪奴‧喬)，本名為 José-Manuel Thomas Arthur Chao 的瑪奴‧喬是個在 1961 年生於法國的首都巴黎的西班牙人，自從他在 1984 年出道以來至今，他的音樂風格一直在轉變著。初期時，在 1987 年時跟幾個同好組成了一個名為 Mano Negra (黑手)的音樂團體，其曲風以大膽又前衛的方式融合了搖滾龐克(Punk Rock)、雷鬼(Reggae)、斯卡(Ska)、以及拉丁(Latin)，堪稱是世界民俗音樂混音的拓荒者，其音樂風格影響了無數後來的歐美地區樂團的創作，然而此時其的歌曲大多是以法文為主西文及英文為副。
到了 1995 年時，黑手樂團(Mano Negra)已經正式宣告解散，但是沒多久的時間之後 Manu Chao 又跟幾位當初同在黑手樂團的死黨移師至西班牙的馬德里(Madrid)重起了一個新樂團稱作 Radio Bemba Sound System，此時他的樂曲風格有了重大的轉變，首先歌詞改變為以西班牙文為主，僅參雜其他少量的法文及英文，而且曲風融入了大量的美洲區拉丁音樂的色彩(尤其是斯卡和雷鬼)以及少量的佛朗明哥，成為了一種典型的世界音樂(英文：World Music，西文：Música Universal)。在此就跟各位分享幾部他的 MV 精選集：

♥充滿著佛朗明哥色彩的一首歌曲。這是一部描述風塵女郎悲慘命運的西班牙電影「Princesas」之主題曲，歌曲名稱中的卡耶即是電影中一位女主角名字。
Mala vida (歹命)
♥這首歌就是之前 Mano Negra (黑手)樂團時期的作品。
Bongo bong (蹦勾蹦)
♥這也是屬於他早期的作品，歌詞中皆以英文為主，只有在最末一段是法文。

不過說真的，這首歌的歌詞雖然淺顯易懂，但是似乎沒有什麼義函的感覺，好像是毫無重點的童言童語... >_<
Me llama calle是Fernando León執導的電影「Princesas」的電影主題曲，電影的女主角就叫caye，blog裡的MV還帶點有點歡樂的氣氛，但是在電影裡面，有種歡樂中帶著心酸的感覺

i would consider "me llaman calle" as rumba. :)
the best part of "me llaman calle" is the guitar solo from madjid, well.. most of manu chao's music has madjid flavor in there. for example - "el contragolpe" " la vida tombola" . "circo caliente"etc etc. which you can find them on youtube,
then again.. the movie is talking about two prostitutes in Madrid, one is local, another is illegal immigrant "me llaman puta, tambien pricensa" is the core of the song. manu made this song fit the movie perfectly.
to be honest, calle is one of my favorite songs. i started to learn guitar last year after watched the movie. and calle is the first song i learned. check them out if you are interested, and let me know what ya think . http://www.youtube.com/user/yor800
